Our custom heavy lift systems are built specifically for the unique heavy lift demands of any project, engineered by Emmert International by in-house Emmert International engineers, to assure that each project is performed with the utmost safety. With state of the art 2D and 3D engineering models, Emmert International simulates complex and heavy lifts in a virtual world before the actual lift. Working hand in hand with our award-winning operations people, our engineers map and plan each step of the heavy lift process to make sure that each project is performed safely and on time.
Our gantry lift systems are capable of lifting up to 700 tons. The gantries employ telescopic octagon booms with automatic cam lock systems. They have synchronized proportional control with planetary self propel and can be operated on diesel, propane, or electric power.
Our hydraulic slide skid units are capable of moving loads up to 1,000 tons. The graphite skid shoe on track system employs a 100-ton push cylinder that smoothly and efficiently transports heavy equipment.
We have a large supply of certified rigging and lifting beams for many applications. In addition to standard rigging and lifting beams, which are available in a wide range of lengths and capacities, we have customized beams for lifting power generation equipment.
Our Towerlift system is ideal for heavy lifts in tight spaces. It is very compact, inherently stable, and requires minimal or no guying. The system design allows shipment in 40-foot lengths to keep mobilization costs down. As a temporary support structure, the Towerlift system can be used in various ways to produce the most economical lifting arrangement. Strand jacks can be stationary, or mounted on movable beams to traverse loads.
We employ the use of several strand jacking systems capable of lifting up to 1,100 tons. Coupled with state-of-the-art hydraulic power packs, our systems provide fail-safe security, remote operation, and precise elevation adjustment. Our strand jack system can be used in stationary applications, or with our track systems, allowing for very flexible transports.
The historic Sellwood Bridge has been a long-standing icon of the Portland metro area. When it came time to replace the bridge, Emmert was called on to solve the complicated problem of lowering and removing the bridge sections. Utilizing high capacity strand jacks, the sections were skillfully lowered and carried away via barge.
